International And Saudi Companies Join Together For Licence Auction

Saudi Arabian telecoms regulator, The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) is expected to complete its public consultation regarding the regulatory framework of the country's third mobile licence auction on May 6, 2006. Although the regulator has not commented on how many bidders have come forward to take part in the auction for not only a third mobile licence, but the country's second fixed line licence, it is thought that there are around 10 companies interested. Moreover, the majority of these bidders are made up of consortia consisting of regional and international companies as well as local Saudi
