UAE TRA Considers Liberalising Internet Market

The UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) is seeking to liberalise the internet market by enabling companies aside from the two existing telecom operators Etisalat and du, the opportunity to offer internet services in the market. However, companies would only be allowed to sell their own internet services by renting lines from either of the two fully-licensed operators.
