TME Joins Spanish HSDPA Armada
July 2006 | Product LaunchSpain's leading mobile operator, Telefónica Moviles España (TME) has said that it will launch HSDPA services during July, following the example set by the country's two other mobile network operators, Vodafone and Amena. TME trialled HSDPA services in June in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. At launch it plans to offer services in 57 towns and cities across Spain, having upgraded its entire network in 2005. The operator plans to have 13,000 HSDPA-enabled base stations in operation by 2008.
