Telenor Focuses On 3G As Revenue Driver
May 2006 | Company Finance AlertNorwegian incumbent telecoms operator Telenor has said that it will focus on the development of 3G services as a means of boosting its mobile revenues in Scandinavia. The operator, which is active in the Danish, Swedish and Norwegian mobile markets, has seen its voice revenues fall as strong competition from other regional players such as TeliaSonera and Tele2 drives down prices. With penetration rates fast approaching 100% in its home market, Telenor is now having to look for ways to maintain its momentum.
