TeliaSonera Turns Up Heat In Norway

Swedish-Finnish telecoms operator TeliaSonera has turned up the heat on its Norwegian rival Telenor by taking control of Norwegian broadband provider NextGenTel. TeliaSonera has acquired an 82.3% stake in the operator and will now present a public offer to the remaining shareholders to buy out their investments. NextGenTel is Norway's second largest broadband provider, controlling around 15% of the market.
