Vonage Launches UK's First Mobile VoIP Service

American VoIP provider Vonage has teamed up with WiFi hotspot company The Cloud in a deal that will allow customers to make wireless VoIP calls using a WiFi enabled handset. The move marks an attempt by Vonage to steal mainly business customers away from the mobile network operators. 'For small and medium businesses, where controlling telecommunications costs is important, the service will be a great way of staying in touch while out of the office without relying on costly mobile phones', said Kerry Ritz, managing director of Vonage UK.
