Telebrás Backbone Reaches Pernambuco

Telebrás is extending its backbone to the northern state of Pernambuco. The move will integrate its backbone network with the Pernambuco Institution of Technology (ITEP)'s network, expanding PNBL offerings in the state. BMI believes these proactive moves to improve connectivity in the country are sensible ahead of the World Cup and Olympic Games in 2014 and 2016, of which Pernambuco's capital, Fortaleza, is a host city.
