Tele2 Considering Re-Launching Mobile Services

Alfred Pufitsch, the head of Tele2 Austria, stated the operator was considering re-launching mobile services. Tele2 is considering the opportunity to launch MVNO services if Hutchison 3 Austria opens its network as part of the deal to merge with Orange Austria. The opportunity to hedge wireline is of strategic value to Tele2, but BMI expects Tele2 to proceed with caution given its previous unsuccessful foray into the Austrian mobile market.
