Vivendi Contemplates GVT Sale

France's Vivendi may sell GVT, its Brazilian fixed-line and broadband provider, in order to bolster stock performance. Vivendi's sales have been the victim of the ongoing economic malaise in the European market, which has had a negative impact on share price. GVT is Vivendi's most valuable subsidiary, and BMI believes there would be a number of interested parties in the Brazilian market.
