Market Overview - Mobile

There were 3.885mn mobile subscribers in the Republic of Congo at the end of December 2011, according to market data published by the country's telecoms regulator, ARPCE. This reflected a penetration rate of 93.8%, up from 92% in a year earlier. The mobile market grew by 4.5% in 2011, following net additions of 166,000 subscribers, considerably less than net additions of 1.548mn subscribers in 2010.
