Rescinding Mobile Tax Could Boost Investment

Local daily Poslovni Dnevnik reported that Croatia is likely to rescind its mobile tax in June 2012, according to sources from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Economy. This means the tax would be rescinded the same time the concessions for digital dividend spectrum are awarded. BMI believes rescinding the tax as relevant spectrum becomes available could boost investment in next generation mobile broadband, a stated government objective.
