IHS Goes Green, Eyes MENA Opportunities

Nigeria-based cell tower sharing firm IHS Towers has revealed plans to power its cell sites with solar energy in a bid to reduce the effect of the continent's rising fuel costs and insufficient electricity supplies on its operations. The firm is also negotiating with Middle Eastern operators to buy and lease back towers, a move that seeks to take advantage of the growing trend towards tower sharing services across the Middle East and Africa.
