TM Benefitting From Growing HSBB Demand

Fixed-line incumbent Telekom Malaysia (TM) announced in May that its fixed broadband subscriber base has reached the 2mn market with more than 359,000 subscribers using its High Speed Broadband (HSBB) fibre service. The strong take-up of Malaysia's national fibre broadband services generally bodes well for TM and the country, although we believe that more time and factors need to be considered before declaring the HSBB as a runaway success.
