China Mobile's 3G To Falter In Light Of Competition

China Mobile has reported strong 2011 financial results with operating revenue and net profit increasing by 8.8% and 5.2% year-on-year respectively. Mobile data remains the key driver and strong demand has managed to offset significant cost to entice consumers to use its TD-SCDMA network. However, we continue the operator to continue pushing for the commercialisation of its 4G service in order to ward off the competition from its rivals.
