Vodafone-TelstraClear Potentially A Good Deal

Telstra confirmed on June 5 that it has been approached by Vodafone New Zealand (Vodafone NZ) to explore the potential sale of Telstra's subsidiary TelstraClear. BMI sees a combination of push and pull factors driving a potential deal between Vodafone NZ and TelstraClear, with both parties (Telstra and Vodafone NZ) emerging stronger. At the time of writing, negotiations are still continuing with no certainty that an agreement will be reached.
