3G Too Important To Miss

Banglalink has expressed doubts about the upcoming spectrum auction in Bangladesh, claiming that the price floor of US$30mn per MHz of spectrum would deter the operator from participating. Failure to secure a spectrum lot, which could be used for 3G/4G services, would be detrimental to Banglalink's long-term growth prospects. While Banglalink could target the lower end of the consumer spectrum with existing 2.75G EDGE services, rivals could compete in the same market if initial demand falls below expectations.
