Haitel Enters Receivership
May 2012 | Company News AlertA month after Haitel was sequestered by the state, the company has officially entered receivership of the Haitian government. The company has a debt burden of US$80mn, nearly 40% of which is owed to the government in the form of taxes. BMI believes the company's problems are likely to continue, especially in the face of formidable competition and the lack of a suitable merger opportunity.
