TRAI's Proposals Are A Further Blow To The Telecoms Industry

The Telecommunication Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has proposed a number of decisions that have generated considerable opposition from stakeholders. BMI understands that while some policies could be unpopular, they could be justified if the long-term benefits outweigh the negative. However, we are concerned about the potential impact of the recommendations, especially when investor confidence in Indian telecoms industry continues to deteriorate.
