Rush For TD-LTE Could Amount To Nothing

Bharti Airtel became the first operator in India to offer 4G after introducing TD-LTE services in Kolkata in April, ahead of main rival Reliance Industries. India's telecoms industry is rapidly developing even though 3G services were only launched in 2011 and the sector is still clouded with a great deal of regulatory uncertainty. However, we believe that the potential of 4G speed mobile broadband will not materialise in the near future, especially when the 3G industry is still in its infancy and cannot be deemed as successful.
