China To Provide Much-Needed Boost For Nokia
March 2012 | Company News AlertNokia has announced that it will sell its smartphones powered by Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system (OS) for multiple mobile networks in China. The relatively untapped Chinese market, which holds significant growth potential, could provide the necessary jumpstart for Nokia's smartphone business given that it remains a distant challenger to the dominance of Apple and Android-based handsets. Targeting all three mobile operators and providing localised services are important to promoting adoption, although one of the biggest challenges is marketing the Windows Phone OS as a viable alternative.
