Etisalat Selects Jasper Platform To Facilitate M2M Expansion

UAE-based operator Etisalat has selected Jasper Wireless' machine-to-machine (M2M) platform to wirelessly connect devices across its 17-market footprint. Etisalat hopes Jasper's platform will enable faster development of new M2M applications and a shorter time to market, improving its M2M product portfolio. BMI considers wireless M2M services to represent a significant opportunity across Etisalat's footprint and we believe the deal with Jasper strengthens its competitive position; however, we argue stiff competition from both local rivals and global operators presents a significant challenge.
