LTE To Gain Traction Only In 2013

Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel) managed to join the Singaporean LTE market before end-2011 after launching its commercial service on December 20. While the mobile market leader went one step further than rival M1 by making its service available to retail consumers, BMI foresees limited adoption in 2012 given that existing 3G technology is more than sufficient to meet the mass-market's needs. Furthermore, compatible mobile devices are not yet available and network coverage is sporadic at present.
