4G Developments Put Colombia Ahead

Telecoms operator UNE EPM has released the details of its proposed LTE network rollout, set for 2012. The operator has awarded contracts for the first two phases of its 4G network deployment and is aiming to provide half of its 2mn subscriber base access to the latest mobile platform. BMI welcomes the move, which will push Colombia ahead of its regional peers and bring high-speed mobile broadband to its subscribers.
