Piñera Realigns Chile's Digital Strategy

Conservative President Sebastián Piñera has called for the realignment of Chile's digital strategy after it fell 12 places in the UN's e-government ranking. Previously the most advanced ICT market in Latin America, activity in the sector has been notable by its absence in Q211 and Q311. Piñera is hoping to change this with a new digital strategy which will result in an overhaul of regulator Subtel.
