Virgin Mobile Plans Latin America Expansion

Latin America is set to have its first regional mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) as the UK's Virgin Mobile targets concessions in eight markets. The company was the first to launch MVNO services in the world, when it began offering services in the UK and has a long history as a successful MVNO operation. As BMI predicted at the end of 2010, Latin America's mobile markets are gearing up for increasing competition through new virtual operators that can launch quickly and have a positive effect on the market.
