Cambodian Telecoms Market Losing Its Shine
October 2011 | Company News AlertTelekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) announced in early October that it has pulled out from bidding for a majority stake in Cambodia's CamGSM, according to Telkom's chief financial officer. While the Indonesian fixed-line incumbent said the decision was partially due to price differences, the hostile Cambodian mobile competitive landscape, which is expected to persist in the short term, should have also played a part in the withdrawal.
