Utility Connectivity For T-Mobile's LTE

T-Mobile Austria announced it has signed an agreement with Wien Energie, the local utilities provider, for the use of its fibre-optic network for LTE backhaul. The utilities firm owns a city-wide fibre-optic network in Vienna operating under the brand Blizznet. BMI considers the move positively as a capital-efficient means of accessing backhaul capacity will enable T-Mobile to connect its base stations from across the city.
