Vodafone To Acquire Koç.net

Vodafone Group, a UK-headquartered mobile group, has agreed terms for the purchase of Koç.net from Koç Holding, a Turkish conglomerate. The acquisition will see Vodafone add fixed-line and broadband operations to its existing mobile business in Turkey and enable it to expand its enterprise division. BMI considers the potential acquisition to be strategically valuable by enabling Vodafone to benefit from growth in converged services in Turkey, where its mobile competitors, Turkcell and Avea, already have a presence.
