Bumper Results For Intel Thanks To Cloud Computing And Strong Device Sales

Intel, the leading global supplier of computing hardware and services, has reported better-than-expected results for Q111, enabling it to outline a more bullish outlook for the second quarter and 2011 as a whole. Its achievements reflect strong performances by many of its peers in the wider communications technology market and indicate that the effects of the recession on business and consumer spending have been left behind. Strong sales of semiconductors in 2010 also point to a rebound in growth, driven by movements towards cloud computing services and high demand for consumer electronics, in line with BMI's core views.
